He went to Matawan Regional High School Graduating in 2000. David was a member of the Aberdeen First Aid Squad as a Cadet from 1996-1998. He was also a Probationary member of the Laurence Harbor First Aid in 2001. In 2006 he moved to Keansburg and shortly after settling in he joined the Hazlet First Aid Rescue Squad in March. By May he was enrolled into the EMT-B class at Jersey Shore Medical Center. This was the last class offering the National Registry EMT certification. He became an EMT in September of 2006 and was moved to Active Status in May of 2007. In 2008 he was elected to 2nd Lt. of Unit 1. He served as an officer assisting the membership and community through out the year. In 2010 he was uncontested for 1st Lt. Unit 1 which he is currently serving. David enjoys Baseball, Football, and really loves Hockey especially the New Jersey Devils. He is a partial season ticket holder at the Prudential Center. In April 2004 David donated his Kidney to his Cousin Veronica who was in desperate need of new "parts". We were a perfect match and are both doing fantastic today
David has extended his helping hands by joining Keansburg EMS to help out when he can and is Employed by the Hazlet Twp Police Department Per Diem as a dispatcher, and is a Full Time Dispatcher for the Keansburg Police Department.
David continues to further his EMS experience as a member of the New Jersey EMS Task Force, Communications and Technology Unit. He is constantly seeking classes to learn more about the EMS field and tries to help as many people as he can. | | | | | Click here to contact David Goodwin via email |
